Yeshua Triangle
God called Northern Israel: the “Navel” of the Earth. Ezekiel 38:12
Today it is called the Yeshua Triangle!
The top of Mt. Arbel is one of the world’s best places to see Bible history unfold.
From here one see where Noah walked on his journey from the top of Ararat to Hebron – where he was buried. Later, also coming down from the north was Abraham and Sarah. Still later, Jacob, with his 4 wives, 11 sons and daughter came through on his return to his homeland. On that journey, God gave him a new name: Isra’el (G-d Rules)! Moses was commanded to lead the children of Israel back to their homeland. Here – came Joshua with drawn sword. The families of Naphtali and Manasseh received their inheritance – this land. June 10, 1967, 3,500 years later, Israel has again taken full ownership of the Golan Heights and the Yeshua Triangle.
Long gone are the armies of the Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Turks, British, Jordanians, and Assyrians. For two thousand years, the Jews lost control and the land fell into a prophetic curse. No one more adequately described the situation than Mark Twain in his 1867 Pilgrimage. “A desolate land whose soil, though rich, produces only thorn bush and thistle – a silent mourning expanse. There exists a state of neglect that even the imagination is incapable of granting it the possibility of beauty of life and productivity. We arrived in peace to Mount Tabor; we did not see a soul during the entire journey. Everywhere we went there was no tree or shrub. Even the olive tree and sabra, those faithful friends of barren lands, were almost completely missing from the land. The land of Israel dwells in sackcloth and ashes…”
Now, from Arbel’s isolated mountain top, we see where 75% of all that was recorded of Yeshua’s miracles and teachings took place. Here is the “The Yeshua Triangle”. Stretching from Arbel, across the Sea of Galilee, to Kursi and to the North for approximately 30 Km (25 miles) into the Golan Heights was the land of Yeshua. From here, he chose disciples, taught them, and performed miracles.
Today, it is amazing how the “Triangle” remains…. so peaceful, pristine, and uninhabited. Most coming to Israel to “walk where Yeshua walked” spend little time where he spent most of his time. But, this is changing. With the influx of Jewish families moving into the Golan, we see the Triangle returning to life as seen by Yeshua and recorded by Josephus Flavius, and all the writers of the New Testament. Josephus said one could not walk here without going from one community to another. In all, 50 Jewish communities filled this small triangle with olive groves, grape vineyards, orchards of fruits and nuts, vegetables, many kinds of agriculture, and grazing animals. Exactly what is happening today! Visiting the Golan Heights and many of the areas 28 ancient synagogues has become important to Israelis and to some tourists. Josephus tells us that 25% of all the synagogues in Israel were here.
